Perfect Attendance - Both classes!!!

Nice work ! - I am so proud of all of you -not only excellent attendance, but the call in procedure in the event of tardies or absences. There have been a couple of slips, but we are past that now. I am holding everyone to the high standards of professional behavior in class and at site!


Thank you Yari, Emily, Xochilt and Mayte for being classroom managers today!

Emily - Thanks for donating the 3 x 5 card rings- Some p.m. students purchased a few.

Click on "newsletter" - go the latest newsletter and look it over. Then go back to the home page and click on "membership". Download and print the membership application. Please fill it out. (You are in the "East Bay Region). You do not have to join, just have it ready in the event you decide to do so. Please bring it in tomorrow. It looks great on a resume' when you are part of a professional medical organization!

Go to the CCBMA website and click on "exam" , go to the bottom of the pages and print out the Examination Study Outline. Bring it to class.


Now, prepare to the answer these questions in class based on your website research:

What is CMAA?
What are the benefits of becoming a member?

What is CCBMA?
What does one have to do to prepare and take the exam to become a California Certified Medical Assistant?

Uniforms! Please go for your fitting on or before Saturday 9/10.

Assignment Due 9/16 (Medical Insurance) - reminder: look on the blog for details

Take out your medical journal at home (or use the internet)…..write down a term, procedure, or condition to share in class. Make sure you are spelling it correctly and can define it with -confidence. Turn this in for 5 points tomorrow.

Tomorrow night, Wednesday, September 7, we will open our doors for parents and guardians to visit classes. The “school day” will start at 6:30 p.m. Each “class” is 15 minutes, with 10 minutes between each class.

HIPAA - We learned about this today. Why is it so important? Let's talk tomorrow and determine how you will be responsible for practicing HIPAA regulations.

We'll also talk about muscles and the skeleton tomorrow.
