Tomorrow is the Due Date....for Evaluations and Training Plans

Hi Everyone,

Important: I cannot accept late papers and still give credit. If you are absent tomorrow, you must send you assignment with another student or call me to make other arrangements. The due date is the same for all students....it's tomorrow, Wednesday, January 18th. No evaluation and/or training plan...no points.

Performance evaluation (50 points) and training plan (100 points).

Progress reports and/or grades are due soon. Be sure to turn your assignments in. Also, be careful about time sheets. If the white, original with signature is not turned in on time, it is a 20 point loss each time.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Some students volunteered at your sites yesterday...great job and more CC hours for you!

Have a wonderful evening and thanks for all you do. See you tomorrow.

Mrs. Erceg

Friday, January 13, 2012

Please print and forward to parent/family

Some students gave this to their families....some didn't. Oops.

Here it is again, and have a great weekend. If you decide to volunteer at site on Monday, 1/16 (holiday), please text me. Thank you!

Hello Students and Parents,

Students have a performance evaluation (50 points) and training plan (100 points) due on Wednesday, January 18th. Some students were not prepared with their training plan draft yesterday. If I have not approved the draft, the grade may be affected. Please talk to your son or daughter about these assignments so you can know all about their site experience. Please ask them about the wonderful job they are doing at their internship sites as well. The training plan lists all of the tasks they are working on.

We are now starting my "Finish Strong" campaign. This campaign involves completing this school year successfully and feeling accomplished. We will talk about college, training programs and employment, as well as maintaining a sense of well-being.There will be a field trip to "Health Quest 2012" at Foothill High School on February 23rd. A permission slip will be coming home for signature. On March 17th, there will be a meeting of the California Medical Assistants Association in Modesto. Students may attend only if a parent drives them and does not have other students traveling with them. I encourage students to attend this conference as will as the CMAA conference in Livermore on April 28th. If you know of an Irish dance group that can perform at no charge for 30 minutes or so at the 3/17 conference in the evening, please let me know.

I am encouraging students to certify as a California Medical Assistant at the end of this school year or by June of 2013, which is the deadline for eligibility for having taken this course. I recommend students purchase the Q & A Review for the Medical Assistant by Palko and Palko, (7th edition with CD ROM) used on Amazon.com and the Exam Review Guide from the California Certifying Board (1- 866-622-2262) or at www.ccbma.org There is a buy-back program here in Med Occs for those materials.

I make and sell jewelry for our charities at the conferences, so if you have a donation of jewelry or jewelry making supplies, please send these items with your student.

Thank you so much!
