Day Two - and Off to a Great Start !!!

Hello Students (and Parents - there's a little something for you on the blog too) ~

Thanks to Samantha, Alex, Hanna and Jessica for being classroom managers today....well done!

Thank you all for being attentive and focused as we start our journey together. Keep up the good work. I appreciate having a low-drama classroom and getting our work done in a timely manner. But if you need my help, ask for it...please! I love helping students.

PARENTS: Back-to-School-Night is Wednesday, September 7th here at GHS. I will be in touch about your attendance at this event or a private session to meet with you if you are not a GHS parent. I would like as many parents to come on 9/7 as possible. Appointments available between 3:30 and 8:30 that evening.

REMINDERS:

Please watch the video on this website tonight and then practice washing your hands as you demo for a family member or friend...

Anticipate the need homework due on Friday 8/26. Turn it in early if you'd like. (see previous blog entry for details).

Practice your sign language - your name (finger spell) and a few words that fit together in a sentence or question. Example: thirsty, water, thank you. I will ask for demos on Friday.

Prepare for discussion of the medic alert bracelet or necklace. Read over the info you picked up in class. WHY do people need these? WHAT are the reasons to have one?.....Are there many?

Is your color-coded calendar on the refrigerator????? Please make sure it is!

Have you brought in...binders, immunization records, TB test results, CPR cards, signed forms? Get your FLU SHOT if you have not already. Bring in the documention/proof!

Great job everyone. Have a great evening.

Mrs. Erceg
